Jodi Friend specializes in tax, estate planning, and corporate planning for individuals and business enterprises.

Jodi has diverse legal experience which includes counseling individuals, families, and their businesses in the estate planning and probate areas; drafting wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, and other instruments effectuating the lifetime and testamentary transfer of assets; counseling individuals and entities with regard to employee benefits, compensation planning, and personal and corporate income tax planning; counseling clients in connection with methods of planned charitable trusts and other charitable-type agreements; counseling clients in connection with estate and succession planning for the family businesses; and counseling clients in connection with generation skipping transfer tax recommendations and the implementation of related instruments.

Jodi is also involved in the representation and counseling of estates, trusts, beneficiaries, and charitable organizations in a variety of matters including issues relative to the performance of fiduciaries in the administration of trusts and estates. She drafts business agreements relating to closely-held businesses, including the formation of corporations, partnerships, and limited liability corporations, as well as various shareholder and/or partnership agreements.

Jodi practiced law with Hannoch Weisman's Tax Practice Group until January 1999. In January 1999, she, along with six former Hannoch Weisman partners, began practicing law as a new eleven-attorney firm, Berkowitz, Lichtstein, Kuritsky, Giasullo & Gross, LLC.

Jodi is a graduate of the University of Michigan. She has her J.D. degree from Seton Hall University (cum laude) and an LL.M. in Tax from New York University. She has spoken often on tax and estate planning matters to civic groups and has taught classes on estate planning.

She is admitted to the New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania Bars.
